Trimble launched the ST30 smart target, combining a 360-degree prism, IMU, automated rod-height measurement and an integrated GNSS receiver in one surveying device. Trimble says the ST30 integrates with its S-, RTS- and SPS-series robotic total stations and Access, Siteworks, FieldLink, Business Center and Connect software. The hardware is planned for ordering in Q4 2026, while high-accuracy GNSS is stated to be a separate subscription beginning in 2027. Claims about accuracy, productivity, safety and error reduction remain vendor assertions.
